I’ll grant you Anakin and Spoilertastic Spoiler Boy, but in what universe does Luke fall into the second category and not the first? (Not that I’d thank him for punching me, but then again, I highly doubt I’d thank anyone for punching me. However, he is certainly kind and wise and generally an excellent person.)
People have an incredible capacity to ignore how much character development Luke went through.
Although I don’t imagine we’ll know Luke’s precise motivation for essentially abandoning his family until the next episode arrives, he’s still a long way from ‘space pissbaby’ considering he walked to his death and threw his weapon away and saved his father and destroyed the Empire using nothing but LOVE (!!!!) Luke is frickin’ awesome
