Virgin British Rail 57 ‘Thunderbirds’ nameplates.

Back in 2002, Virgin Trains taken the convention of calling locomotives employed for rescue duties as Thunderbirds one step further by naming their Class 57/3 fleet after characters from the television series.

The engines were named as:
