This woman. This is my contribution to the day-of 10th anniversary celebrations: this woman.

She’s credited as “German Woman”, but I think of her more as London Glamour. At some point watching this I gained the impression that she poisoned the soldiers guarding the compound, but I’m pretty sure that’s not true. In her mind, how glamorous London is and the destruction of Earth are inextricably linked. Somehow. She gives Martha a chance to speak German and look gorgeously determined/guilty/resigned.

Martha’s sub-plot is easily the best part of Journey’s End and this character is an important part of that.
