Misfits series one

Have finally watched Misfits series one…wanna hear about it?

Okay, first off, I’ve rather gone off Simon, and Alisha. Her because she did, basically, rape people- whether you’re a man or a woman, making someone have sex when they don’t want to is rape. And Simon because he came very close to sexually assaulting an unconcious Kelly and I can’t really forgive him for that. I still ship Simon/Alisha, but more in a ‘they deserve each other’ way, now. Hmph.

I still think Kelly is great, she’s my all time favourite. She’s tough and mouthy and just…fabulous. I think out of all the Misfits, she’s actually the best person– she takes no crap but makes sure those around her don’t take crap either.

I like Curtis a lot more now that I’ve seen him actually doing stuff. I’ve even warmed up to Curtis/Nikki after seeing how much Curtis’s ex looks like her, thus kinda giving him a reason to pursue her.

Nathan, he just never changes, but I can’t help but like him, I think there might be a bit of Nathan under the surface of most people. He’s everything that’s wrong with the kids today…

I quite liked Sally, or I felt sorry for her at least. If not for the storm, she and Tony would probably have just settled down and had a perfectly nice life. Also, my theory that the storm gave everyone what they wanted, just in a twisted way, seems to be holding up nicely-

-Curtis wanted to undo his drug mistake, so he got the power to turn back time
-Alisha wanted to have sex, so she got the power to make anyone have sex with her
-Kelly wanted to know what other people thought of her (er, maybe?) so she got the ability to read minds
-Tony secretly hated the kids he worked with, so he got the power to…ur…kill them
-Ruth wanted to be young again, and she got that
-Simon is sort of a predator, so invisibility kinda works for him
-Nathan, I think we can assume, wants to stay young

Anyhoodle, I love this show, there’s nothing quite like it on the tellybox and it’s so weirdly British. God, I hope the Americans don’t take this one.
