Misfits 2×6 and the Christmas Special
I’m loving this show. It’s so brilliantly mental.
A serial killer whose weapon is milk! That was bloody freaky, although I suspect biologically impossible. (Surely the milk in the victim’s systems wouldn’t stay milk for that long?) Did the Misfits actually kill him at the end? I wouldn’t blame them if they did, but all we saw was one punch.
I love Simon/Alesha. Although I can’t believe they’re actually living in a place that looks like an underground car park. But they work together so well, and I hope they get to go to Vegas…
Simon continues to be probably the most interesting character, and this is a truly badass shot:

Nathan has a girlfriend, and he seems to be in love with her! Actually I loved those two as well, Marnie’s a perfect match for him, they’re both sex-obsessed, vulgar egomanaics. (In the most awesome way of course, Nathan’s brilliant.) I hope they stay together, and having the baby will (maybe) teach Nathan some responsibility. Oh, and the whole birth scene was both touching and utterly hilarious. No-one stamped on an afterbirth in the actual Nativity…
Nikki’s dead, then! I can’t say I’m all that bothered, because she wasn’t the most three-dimensional character around and seemed to only be there so the camera could linger on her having sex with Curtis in disgusting bathrooms. Curtis seemed determined to bring her back, though, so maybe she’ll show up again…
Kelly didn’t get to do much. I wonder what her new power will be. (Or if she’ll stick with the old one) I don’t blame Alesha for giving up her power, it was rubbish. Curtis, though, I can’t believe anyone would give up the power to rewind time!
Now there’s a whole year until the next series. :(

“Brilliantly mental” is the perfect way to describe this show. I can’t believe how well these insane ideas work, and how much I’m loving the whole thing. The Milk Guy baddie was inspired and surprisingly scary. I first thought they had killed him and stuffed him into the locker, because the next shot after punch was on the locker in the Community Centre; but I guess they probably intimidated him and discouraged him from disclosing his power. Nathan might have performed some unspeakable acts in his kitchen to prove that he will go to any lengths, if need be.

Ooh yes, after all it’s not quite fair to kill someone for a crime they haven’t commited yet… My favourite of all the insane ideas is still the human gorilla romancing Kelly, which so shouldn’t have worked and did!

I don’t think I’ve got a favourite insane idea, but I am loving the fact that I love the insane premises that shouldn’t work for me but totally do: for example, immortality usually bores me (I lost interest in Jack Harkness after he got immortal), but I love how they handle it with regard to Nathan. Same goes for time travel; Misfits has the best use of time travel I’ve ever seen – I didn’t even mind them pushing the reset button after the finale of season 2, which is something that usually annoys me. Human!Gorilla was great. Shame he had to die. It would have been fun to watch Nathan coming to term with the fact that Kelly would rather shag a gorilla than him.
