…I thought we should have a Doctor Who Fandom Friending Frenzy (as the HP and SW fandoms have done in the past). Cos I love this fandom. It’s just small enough, and friendly.
And then I thought, okay, if you think there should be one, make one…

What name you go by: nos’ What your LJ is like: Umm, fannish. Almost entirely so. I enjoy over-thinking fictional worlds, yo. Favourite characters: Seven is my Childhood Doctor, and of course the Doctor is a horribly fascinating character all the time. And Ace and Romana and Leela and Sarah-Jane and the Brig and so on. What name you go by: Claire What your LJ is like: This one is fanficc-y. At the moment, mainly HP stuff writte a while ago, but it’s slowly starting to bridge out into other fandoms. *coughWhoRedDwarfcough* Also covered in quotes from ‘Harvey’. My real life journal (shino_hoshi) is rarely updated and is generally to do with…crap, a lot of the time. Favourite characters: 8th, 9th and 10th Doctors, as well as a good bit of affection for the 7th. And Captain Jack. Mainly new-series people, because I’ve seen next to nothing of the old ones. What name you go by: Quarkz. Everywhere. All the time (Unless some sod has stolen it, then I get their IP address, track them down and sit on their face. Which, ahem, doesn’t usually turn out as I plan) What your LJ is like: I post squeeful crap or random things that have amused me, which is just about everything. Doesn’t get updated as often as it should but meh. Favourite characters: I’m strictly a new series fan so Rose is my favourite character. Doctor #9 will always be my Doctor but I’m starting to fangirl 10 a little bit which is causing my best friend to develop a serious eye twitch. Favourite ships: 9/Rose & 10/Rose. Naturally :D You all-time favourite episode of DW: Hmmm. The Unquiet Dead I think. You have no idea how many times I watched that “I’m so glad I met you” scene. It’s pathetic. I thought it was a fantastic episode, the aliens didn’t look ridiculously fake and the character interactions were just brilliant. I have ‘Parting of the Ways’ & ‘Xmas Invasion’ audios on my Ipod so I can listen to them at work so I must like them to some extreme degree too. Favourite flavour of ice cream: You got Cold Rock over there? Holy crapcakes, Bubblegum with Coconut Ice is simply bliss. I think I could talk about DW all day long, but no-one want’s to listen to me dribble on about it *dramatic sigh*. I’ve finally been sucked in to filling this out because you guys are just having way too much fun and getting way too many friends, so, here goes. What name you go by: On here I’m which Makes sense because my second name is Rose and my first name is Donna, my nickname being Doona. I will also respond to Aeria (old fanfic name), DonDon, D, Oi Stupid and Tomato. What your LJ is like: A bit mercurial really. Lot’s of stuff about Doctor Who and David Tennant. Lots of stuff about my fics. Often there’s a bit of stuff about my crap job at KFC and my family and my friends. And really, just a lot of stuff. Feel free to go and check it out. Oh and there’s the odd post that makes very little sense but gives you the feeling I’m actually talking about DW and makes sense a month later. If that makes sense. Favourite characters: Ten…and more Ten. I also dearly love Nine and Jack and Rose. But mostly…Ten. Favourite Ships: Ten/Rose is my ship. What your LJ is like: My LJ ranges from photos that I take to random thoughts about life, people, fandom and things that make me tick be they movies, comics or books. I’ve never heard till this month of people who didn’t say Eight was Canon. O_o;; TBH, the way I see it, the BBC were in on the 96 tv movie, and the BBC commissioned the hundreds of bbc books about him. Ergo, he is Canon. I’m sure Tennants been referred to as Ten on the bbc webpage too… I’m sure McGanne was definately listed as Eight before they revamped the website in line with Nine’s series… xx

Uh-huh, that’s my line of reasoning as well (apart from the fact that I do like McGann in everything he’s done). But apparently there are some who say, “It’s not British, and he’s kissing the woman who killed him, and he says he’s half-human — Blasphemy! — so he can’t be the Doctor!” Personally, I find all the Canon debates rather funny. ;)

Well, I can point you to the only two I’ve ever been able to find… There is Clive May’s Bride Quest. I have not re-read it in a fair while, so don’t ask me about plot details. But a latter chapter (*skims* Very beginning of Chapter Ten actually…) has scene of Harry/Sarah snogging that nearly made me die of squee, because to my knowledge this is the only fic that has such a thing. Also, Homecoming by AJK on A Teaspoon and an Open Mind archive is cute. Um, that’s all I’ve been able to find myself…

What name you go by: Thren, or some variation thereof. What your LJ is like: Mostly real life, sometimes fannish, often opinionated. Favourite characters: I really loved Nine (still haven’t forgiven Eccleston for leaving after only one series, damn him), though Ten is looking to shape up okay. I also harbour in my heart a dear love for Four, who is the one I watched on PBS as a kid, and also Five, to an extent. I never warmed up to the three before and after those two. Go figure.
