Just in case y’all were wondering how’s Mexico doing…

sixtape:

favoritelatina:

Our coin went from 18 pesos to 21.50 pesos a dollar (and will probably reach 22.50), our products and services will be more expensive by the morning. No one will want to invest here. We’re humiliated, we were called rapists and apparently most of you agree. We’re threatened to be separated by a wall… Do you have idea how many millions of families will be separated? How many children will see their parents being deported? The violence migrants will receive? How deeply your economy will be affected? Old and young, we have our heads down, we don’t know what to expect. But thanks for making it clear, one more time, how hated we are for most of you.

But these same racist fucking assholes that voted for Trump will vacation in Cabo and Cancun

eveningdreams:

Fuck anyone who says “why do you care about the election – you don’t even live in America.” Even if we forget for a moment that the U.S is arguably one of the most influential governments in the world and what they do effects us all, a basic sense of human empathy is what makes those living outside of America so terrified. We’re scared for every woman who is going to be denied access to an abortion and those who will inevitably die in an attempt to access an illegal one. We’re scared for every person who will seek asylum from war and poverty but will be denied compassion. We’re scared for LGBT+ people who don’t feel safe in their own communities. We’re scared for people of colour and the institutionalised oppression that they experience every day. We’re scared for victims of sexual assault knowing that their President invalidates and trivialises their experiences. We’re scared for our ailing environment. I could go on forever. We’re scared and sad and angry and disgusted that someone so vile, so comically ridiculous will probably be elected as the leader of the free world. Sometimes the bad guy wins and, in this case, it’s fucking scary because the bad guy has the power to make or break the lives of hundreds of millions of people. You don’t need to live in America to understand that, you just have to have some sense of human compassion.

what do we do tho? like, honestly? what happens if he’s elected? what do we honest to god do?

Coming from the UK after our own catastrophe: you make his life hell. You make his government’s life hell. Anything and everything shitty that they want to do, you protest, you campaign, you petition, you lobby. You tie the whole thing up in so much red tape that Mr I’ve-Never-Had-Anyone-Say-No-To-Me starts loathing his job.

You create private safe zones, you look out for one another, you let your now validated racist, homophobic, transphobic neighbours know that their bigotry will not be tolerated through any means you feel it’s safe to do so. You join forces. Despite everything, you thrive out of spite, out of survival, out of a need to protect your own.

All of these communities have faced untold amounts of hell before and we’re all still here. It’s in our history to survive – in our genetic makeup. There will be losses and there will be casualties but in four years you’ll still be here and you’ll vote him out and the time to grieve will be then. For now, fight. In any way you can, even if all you can do is get through each day at a time. Fight him every step of the way.

Real talk folks

Regardless of the outcome of tonight, y’all be careful.

If Trump wins, hate crimes are going to increase because, as we have already seen, groups like the KKK and those who think like them are emboldened by the popularity of Trump. They will become more open about their bigotry, which will lead to violence.

On the other hand, if Hillary wins, there are going to be a lot of very angry Trump supported out there, of the historically violent and hateful variety who are going to be looking for things and people to take their anger out on and an excuse to do it.

Be careful. Look out for each other. Stay safe.

this is a very real concern, guys. after brexit there were about five times as many reported hate crimes in the UK, and several police officers still believed hate crimes were significantly under reported. if trump wins it’s likely that something similar, perhaps even worse, will happen in the US. and if he loses, a lot of trump supporters (about 30% according to the washington post) have said they’re going to protest the outcome of the election

no matter who wins, it could become pretty ugly

You can make Trump’s webpage say anything you want, simply by changing the words in the URL.

OH MY GOD. I’m diving into the code to see if I can figure out what clusterfuck allowed that to happen. But yes. Input the following URL:https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/archive/ followed by whatever message you want, with %20 replacing the spaces, and that’s what will show up on the header. That is a SERIOUS coding clusterfuck.

I sent this to tumblr dad to play with and I think he’s having the time of his life.

It’s worth noting that it’s all client-side code, so you’re the only one that sees it, but STILL. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST.

It’s still just so fucking funny though, like holy shit how do you mess up THIS badly?!?

Yeeeeah, I can almost see the logic behind how it happened, but I can’t put my finger on the actual code that’s doing it.

OH MY GOD. I think someone hacked it. Or else they have a VERY PISSED OFF coder on their hands. If you just enter https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/archive/ look at what you get:
