Well, maybe. But I think it’s more of universal thing, that when groups of people get together it’s not long before they start to demonstrate shitty behaviour – football fans, school cliques, they all do it.
Tumblr as a platform doesn’t help matters with regards to fandom much though, since it takes only a few clicks for a message to be twisted beyond belief and/or a person publicly humiliated…
