To this day the only Star Wars ship that I really can’t stand (although I respect its place in slash fandom history and all that) is Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan. One of them raised the other one from age twelve! (Oh, all right, this is never actually said in the movie, only in Jedi Apprentice. But it is in the novelisation, I think, that they basically think of each other as father and son) It’s just, the massive age gap, the power dynamics…it just squicks me out I guess.
