I’m severely disabled and confined to my bed by nerve damage. After 2 years of near homelessness, my life is finally improving and I’ve moved into a permanent home. However, it has been exceptionally difficult to pay for furniture and several weeks on I still lack a functional home. E.g. without curtains in my room the severity of my disability is revealed publicly & leaves me vulnerable to attacks; tenancy obligations aren’t being met without a lawnmower.
Repeated delays in arranging these will affect my ability to prepare & pay for a compensation case that is the only way to guarantee funding for a lifetime of frankly astronomical healthcare fees, without which my condition will continue to decline and may put my life in danger.
Furniture/household items (lawnmower, wardrobe, nightstand, curtain & poles, 1 cooktop, handheld vacuum, deliveries) will cost $950. This needs to be raised within 2 days, or it will affect funding for my compensation case.

Similar treatments have repeatedly been used against me, e.g. in 2014 I was coerced into hospital and was physically assaulted by patient transport staff. The doctors involved also caused me to lose my housing and become nearly homeless for 2 years. After attempts to remove medical consent rights for a lifetime (guardianship) were found to be legally unjustifiable, all medical care was removed from me as revenge for refusing harmful treatments.
A far worse plan involving psychiatric confinement will be executed if I can’t maintain the support of my doctors.
The $803 paramedic transport bill needs to be paid on time (see “keep reading”) to attend my next neurologist’s appointment, after missing a whole year of appointments in 2016 mostly from financial difficulties. If I can’t attend, I will be barred from accessing specialist treatment, which will be used to justify psychiatric abuse against me.
Similarly $150 needs to be raised for pre-2016 home care invoices by that same deadline. Any additional donations will go towards payment of approx. $840/week in home care costs, to avoid reports being made to psychiatric services about me on allegations that I do not have the means to live outside of an institution.

My disability necessitates home care & patient transport, at a minimum cost of $1,080/week, all of which has been funded by donations for the past two years. The extreme hardships caused by a lack of guaranteed public funding have ranged from getting cockroach bites from lack of funding for cleaning services to planned psychiatric abuse against me on the basis that I was too poor to afford home nursing.
To finally be offered funding is simply amazing and I don’t want my inability to submit an adequate explanation of my complex needs to prevent me from accessing funded supports. I’ll need longer hours of care for assistance with paperwork during the week prior to the submission deadline, on top of basics like cleaning.
Before end of this year, I also MUST repay $1,100 in debts, mostly for relocation-related fees.

Hey I’m still living in the streets and don’t know when my next meal is going to be…I think tomorrow is my last day of phone service so my time is limited rn as to how long I’ll be able to receive help…If anyone cares if anyone sees this I know your all probably tired and excited about the stuff your going to do in the next three days…but if it’s not too much to ask a couple of bucks goes a long way…I don’t know where I’ll be christmas eve or christmas and this has been the worst year of my life…I’ve been finding different spots to sleep but the cops keep getting called and removing me so I don’t have a stationary spot. I am a black female…a blank space in a margin for someone to kill and leave somewhere and nobody will remember me…I think that’s what I’m most afraid of not being remembered. I am asking with all my humility please pass this along.

Consequently I’m without basic appliances/furniture – incl. a fridge and a wardrobe – leaving me in limbo for over a week. There have also been difficulties with buying enough food & bedding.
This is costing extra carer fees for daily food shopping (approx $968/month for daily 1 hr shopping). This accumulation is more expensive than buying a fridge or buying food in bulk.

I’m severely disabled and this month escaped 2 yrs of near homelessness. Now I’m in an exceptionally desperate situation – almost everything I own is in storage. Banks close for Christmas so I MUST fundraise the removalist fees TODAY. Also, over $900 was stolen from my debit card so I need urgent help with basic payments. In particular I have been living in limbo after relocating, still without ANY piece of furniture apart from a bed. My spine is deteriorating permanently without the care support that can be provided if my carers had so much as a desk and chairs.
There are $169 left to raise – though the deadline has been surpassed I will still need these things so please donate. The fumigation will cost at least $80 more than expected + the stolen debit card is affecting my ability to pay for a $276 home care invoice.
My girlfriend Yala and I have been struggling for the past year in terms of housing, food and transportation. The place we are currently staying at (for free) is wanting us out by Christmas, and we have no money to get a place of our own atm.
We have both been unemployed for the past couple months, and although we have been searching and applying for jobs regularly, being a mentally ill trans woman makes the job market a hell hole, and we have very little resources when it comes to medication, etc. because we live in Indiana.
Yala has a prospective part time job that she is well qualified for, but we are still waiting to hear back by the end of this week. The only income we have been receiving is from the sporadic and minimal shifts she works at a non-profit museum (under $50 a month).
We have had to sleep on couches covered in cat piss, basement floors covered in human piss, steal food, and endure toxic hard drug environments just to get by, sucking the FUCKING life out of the both of us.
Rent in Indiana can be under $500, so we aren’t asking for much, just enough to give us time to secure jobs, pay for transportation, and help us eat. We understand if you don’t have money to donate, because we don’t have money at all, but it would mean a lot if you shared this.

After dwindling donations, my situation has become extremely dire. By Tuesday (ET), I will have $0 left for life-essential disability care. Unless sufficient donations are raised, I will be left starved and isolated 24/7 over the holiday period, with risk of eviction from lack of cleaning.

Without any ability to so much as retrieve water or food myself, my life depends on care services, which will cost will cost approx $1,450 over the holiday period, esp. with holiday rates.
Depleted funding will also prevent me from communicating with the outside world completely, if I cannot afford prepaid phone/internet.
