Why do you think Sansa cried when Joffrey died? It’s one of my favorite moments in the book, because can’t even tell if it was because the manner of his death reminded her of Robb’s as she claims or she just doesn’t want to admit it to herself that part of her was sad that he was gone. What do you think?
it’s one of my favorite moments as well, to be honest. For a number of different reasons.
She cries over Joffrey because she is traumatized by the horror of his death. She tries to understand why she’s crying, and overthinks it and tells herself it has to be something else because she can’t be crying over Joffrey. And she’s not crying over Joffrey. She’s crying over being horrified by what she’s seen.
