Kampung Pelangi: a village in Indonesia made out of rainbows
Kampung Pelangi, which literally translates to Rainbow Village, has to be one of the most colorful villages in the world, let alone in Indonesia. The village, which is home to 232 houses, is splashed in a series of bright colors and decorated with murals. Kampung Pelangi was recently given a government-funded makeover in a bid to make it more tourist-friendly — and it looks like it’s working.

Gold Fireflies Dance Through Japanese Enchanted Forest in the Summer of 2016
An array of photographers captured these stunning images of gold fireflies during Japan’s rainy season in June and July. A dazzling long-exposure effort, the fireflies resemble a chimerical glittery effect only seen by fairies in enchanted forests.
