This hotel reminds you to steal the toiletries!

I work in hotels/resorts, and honestly, take the little shampoos and soaps! We throw them away when you leave (we don’t know if you’ve opened them and messed with them or whatever, so for health and safety it all goes in the trash)
If you stay at the fancier places or chains, they’ve actually done some bit of thought into the scents for the toiletries, in that if you use them while at home you’ll remember the time you stayed at the hotel and be more likely to return.

Just don’t take the towels or the robes or any of that shit, it’s expensive.

This is true, all soaps, shampoos, and the like are tossed after a guest checks out of the hotel even if it’s clearly unopened because it is considered a health hazard violation in most places if they’re left there. If someone were to somehow get sick from it, a hotel can be shut down. Just take the toiletries, they’re ordered in bulk as is and only cost the hotel a few dollars to order them by the hundreds

And even if you don’t use them, you can donate them to your local homeless shelter or other similar charity and give someone something they could use that would otherwise go to waste.

PLEASE TAKE THE SOAPS. PLEASE DONATE THE SOAPS. It’s one of the biggest requests shelters/supply banks get. You want to make their fucking day? Show up with socks, undies, diapers, and toiletries.

And here I am not taking them to avoid being wasteful.

And here I was not wanting to steal things from the hotels. The more you know.

Reblogging again because I didn’t even think about donating them to charity. I figured they were too small to be useful, but they would be perfect for shelters and the like.

Written by JRR Tolkien, “The Hobbit” was first published on September 21st, 1937, 80 years ago today.

Then something Tookish woke up inside him, and he wished to go and see the great mountains, and hear the pine-trees and the waterfalls, and explore the caves, and wear a sword instead of a walking-stick.

What was Danny glovers important thing????

So, there was a scene where Peter Parker was looking for Donald Glover’s character. He asked Karen, his suit, to bring up the stats. If you saw, it was revealed that Glover’s character’s name is Aaron Davis. In the comics, Aaron Davis and his brother, Jefferson Davis, were a crime duo. They would do burglaries and stuff like that. But then Jefferson fell in love and left that lifestyle behind. Meanwhile, Aaron continued. In the movie, when Spidey is talking to Aaron, he tells Spidey that he has a “nephew” that he wants to protect. This means that Jefferson and his wife already had the kid. Now, who is that wife? Rio Morales. And who is the kid? Miles….Morales. Donald Glover plays Miles Morales’ uncle who will end up becoming a supervillain by the name of the Prowler. The Prowler ends up being the first supervillain that Spider-Man Miles Morales fights. :) Pretty nifty reference, huh?

So Miles MCU confirmed by Donald Glover

yeah i freaked out at this

Announcing a new companion for the Eighth Doctor – Rakhee Thakrar!

Joining Paul McGann in his exploits during the Time War, Rakhee Thakrar is to play his new companion in an adventure like no other.

After last week’s news that our November Time War release is part 1 of 4, we can now also reveal that a new companion will be joining in Eighth Doctor in a universe at war.

Rakhee Thakrar, who Big Finish listeners may recognise from her role as Shabnam Masood in Eastenders, will join Eight as Bliss.

We caught up with producer David Richardson to find out more. ‘He may be trying to avoid getting embroiled in the Time War, but the Eighth Doctor has found a new friend who knows how to blow up a Dalek – enter Bliss, a scientist trying to stay alive in the heat of temporal battle. Matt Fitton wrote the part for Rakhee Thakrar, and it was lovely when Rakhee accepted the part with such total delight. She’s brilliant and lovely and fits right in with the ever growing Big Finish family.’

‘Getting to voice the role of Bliss alongside the Doctor is an absolute dream,’ Rakhee tells us, ‘She’s a character who I’d like to be more like; someone who puts aside her own fear to help others. I think Big Finish have created a great companion with Bliss, she’s incredibly bright but is not excluded from making mistakes and having a sense of humour. I find her very real, and she’s a joy to play. I’m thoroughly excited to join the Doctor Who team.’

After all the speculation that Thakrar was playing Coleman’s replacement just a year or so ago, there’s a joke in here somewhere about playing the next companion, but probably not the one you were expecting.

Character: Penny

Commonly interpreted as: Straight

But Really: Penny/Penelope from Miranda is commonly interpreted as straight but she states in one episode that she “only had 3 of the 4 members of Bucks Fizz”. 2 of the members of Bucks Fizz are women. Penny is bi/pan.

With many thanks to

for this submission.
