“Hold My Hand As I’m Lowered” by Noah and the Whale is probably one of the best songs to go with Orestes Fasting and Pylades Drunk EVER EVER EVER
grantaire
There’s a post or two going around about Enjolras having a lot of Jesus symbolism and that got me thinking
If Enjolras is symbolized as Jesus
Then Grantaire would be the criminal who was crucified beside him, the one who at the very end talked to Jesus and believed and asked for forgiveness who knew he was getting the punishment he deserved and that Jesus was innocent Jesus told him that he was forgiven and he would be with him in paradise

his table was small and of no use in the barricade, so they had left it to him
happy barricade day
One of the saddest things I find about the barricade is actually Grantaire sleeping – something about his inability to participate, his inability to leave, and all of the nebulous emotions surrounding that gets to me. and it has been said to death that Grantaire’s imperfection is more representative of a humanity we can identify with, but I mean, there’s truth in it. idk. have a sad.
I had an idea for something much more elaborate and interesting, but given that I came up with it last week, it really wasn’t feasible. But I wanted to do something, at least! I don’t think I’ve enjoyed myself more in a fandom in a very long time, even if I am new around the block. You’re all lovely. <3
