‘Versailles’ Star George Blagden Set for Movie Musical ‘The Land of Dreams’ (EXCLUSIVE) — Variety

George Blagden is going to be in another movie! It’s a musical! And I am thrilled!

I know he’s a rather niche actor to follow, and I couldn’t really get into Versailles in the end (he was fine in it, it just wasn’t my thing) but when Les Mis movie fandom was at its height he was the nicest guy about the fandom. And he outright encouraged fanworks and made some himself! That’s a really rare thing. Rightly or wrongly he had such a small role in the movie but he went above and beyond for the fans.

(Also… I’ve said this before but… he absolutely nailed That One Scene in Les Mis. You know the one. His goddamn eyes in That One Scene are stamped into my mind forever.)

flovvright:

and right after this he’s the one that starts drink with me… and pretends to play this busted piano……….

what she says: i’m fine
what she means: Aaron Tveit and George Blagden both read passages of the brick to enrich their interpretations in Les Misérables, and where George Blagden noticed Grantaire’s adoration for Enjolras, Aaron Tveit mainly picked up on Enjolras’ charisma, fervor and faith in the rebellion. That’s very flavour of meta and i don’t know how to deal with it please send help

babesatthebarricade:

George fucking Blagden went to the historic site of the barricade on June 5 aka the anniversary of the barricade and sang the missing verse of Drink with Me. And of course he went at night, because the students would have sang Drink with Me the night between the 5th and the 6th. This man, this wonderful man with no chill has given fans what they have been asking for, for the past 3 ½ years and what the director has refused to give us.

I feel sorry for every fandom that does not have George Blagden. We don’t deserve him, but I’m so glad we have him.
