I’m not sure. It might have made me more open to pairings I never thought of? But I’m not sure it’s gone quite that far

Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

Well MCU has the same problems all fandoms have but I’m not sure there are any specific to it? I can’t really think of any overly unpopular opinion I guess. Maybe “I don’t have any strong feelings one way or the other about Natasha/Bruce”?

Popular character you hate?

Oh gosh. I’m not sure there is anyone? There’s a few people I suspect I don’t like as much as lots of others do (Loki, Tony, Steve) but that’s kinda it I guess.

Unpopular opinion about your fandom?

I’m in a lot but I think this applies to all of them: every fandom has racism/sexism/homophobia/etc in them, and there’s no such thing as an unproblematic fandom.

What is the purest ship in the fandom?

…I’m actually not sure there’s such a thing as an unproblematic ship either. But Jake/Amy (Brooklyn 99) and Gail/Erica (TLMOE) come pretty close to being Pure and Lovely

Least shippable character?

…….all children (at least with adults) (bizarrely this is an unpopular opinion now I gather?)

What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

Honestly not all that many, but there are some. For example, I know Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan used to be one of the most popular ships in Star Wars fandom, but… the age difference, man, and the thing where one of them raised the other… it makes me uncomfortable like woah. I don’t bring it up much though.

In Doctor Who fandom I never got Eleven/Amy and I definitely never got Matt Smith/Karen Gillan, those are real people, leave ‘em the fuck alone.

Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion?
Yeah but I kinda wish I hadn’t. It was when “Amy Pond is a characterization-less wank fantasy” discourse was all over Doctor Who fandom and Amy is… well, kinda by far the Doctor Who character I most relate to so I suppose I just couldn’t take it.

Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t?
