hmmm this summary seems deliberately vague

is there the slightest chance she’s the new Master?

just keep the master one barrier break ahead of the doctor forever

Please… please….

i vote yes

and the excitement of speculation begins again! I am so down with her being the new master

the actors always have a little bit of the character within them, in this case sharon married her wife susie on-stage during a performance – which would be so in-character for the master, i can see it already :’)

I found this WONDERFUL picture of her and her wife on stage together (though not at their wedding, in a pantomine)

Every new pic I see of her it just screams “Missy!” more and more

also im laughing at all the people outside the UK who don’t know who bradley walsh is.. who think he’s just some random old white guy and not like. a national icon.

for my non UK followers who like doctor who: bradley walsh is pretty well-known here because he was in Law & Order UK and also one of our soap operas, specifically Coronation Street which has like, more of a comedy slant to it??

but these days he’s best known for hosting quiz show The Chase and just. having the time of his fucking life on it. here is a HALF HOUR video of him losing his composure and laughing at quiz questions on national television (note: this video is labelled ‘volume 1′)

I’ll continue to hold that he’s a really good casting choice, cos you know how the female companions used to be (derogatorily) referred to as ‘something for the dads’ every now and again?

Bradley Walsh is something for the mums.

hmm it sure will be nice if Tosin Cole is playing a full-time companion and one who isn’t repeatedly berated and belittled by the Doctor, unlike the previous two black male “companions” (quotation marks because Danny was never really a companion at all)

Yes please

I don’t want to rag on Doctor Who that much because it’s doing so well at the moment. But TWO young black men in New Who who are BOTH treated as inadequate for little good reason by the Doctor – I get so angrily stuck on that. And they were five years apart and had different writers so it’s like… *nobody* figured ‘this is a problem, let’s fix it for next time’ with Danny. :(

NEXT YEAR!!!

excited for all these dudes except the neil flynn looking guy

Bradley Walsh? He’s a bit like… literally everyone in Britain knows who Bradley Walsh is, he presents countless game shows and is pretty much just on TV all the time, plus he sings and does children’s telly and all that jazz. (I have no idea who the American equivalent would be). He actually showed up on Sarah Jane Adventures at one point too I think.

Basically I kinda suspect he’s the person they cast to encourage older women who have zero interest in sci-fi to tune in. Mums and grannies love Bradley. (Or mine do.) He’s… inoffensive would be a good word I guess, and I honestly mean that in a good way?

But I think his casting is a smart move overall, and I doubt he’ll be in it as much as the others cos he does like a zillion other things too…

….so has anyone else started making up headcanons/speculations about the new companions already? I like to think Yasmin and Ryan are adopted siblings and Graham is their dad.

(The Doctor ends up becoming like a weird aunt/grandmother)
