I can’t work out if Barbara’s death counts as a pointless shock-value death, because christ on a bike am I sick of those. It kind of feels like it is though? Barbara had already basically left the show, why bring her back just to kill her? It was well-acted and everything, but… why

My most unpopular and most unlikely-to-change-anytime soon opinion, in two parts

a) All the Star Wars movies are flawed but great

b) Mainstream Star Wars fandom is a terrifying toxic cesspit of misogyny, ableism, entitlement, the disgusting belief that releasing an unpopular movie is tantamount to rape, racism, homophobia, harassment of minors, harassment in general, and everything revolting about geek culture rolled into one: I would genuinely rather there was no Star Wars fandom at all (no official blogs, no weird tie-in merch, no conventions even) than the fucking horrible one we got.
