one of the leads, lucy (ella purnell) from vault 33, is naive and “doe-eyed” and left the vault for a rescue mission
the other leads will be a brotherhood of steel squire (aaron moten) and a bounty hunter ghoul (walton goggins)
vault boy will be there – he even gets an origin story
it’s set in los angeles
todd howard was an executive producer on the show
everything in the series is officially part of the lore. direct quote from the article: “We view what’s happening in the show as canon,” says Howard. “That’s what’s great, when someone else looks at your work and then translates it in some fashion.” He admits to being envious of some of the TV show’s interpretations and additions: “I sort of looked at it like, ‘Ah, why didn’t we do that?’”
most of the characters are “chasing an artifact that has the potential to radically change the power dynamic in this world”
the article’s pretty cool and made me a cautiously hopeful about the show… we’ll see on april 2024 whether it’ll be good though
When i was a teachers assistant(first grade), i would add extra points for doodles and drawings when i was grading papers. Obviously, these points didnt go in the grade book. I called them Miss Rachel points. But the kids loved it and started doing more complex drawings on the back of their homework to get more points. I had a parent tell me that her daughter got excited to finish her homework so she could do a new drawing for me, so teachers, of literally any grade, give the drawings some acknowledgment. Its a creative outlet that may motivate your students to do their homework but more importantly, it could be someone’s escape and you just writing “nice panda” next to their drawing will make them feel so special.
We did a big schoolwide diagnostic test last month and this kid drew such an ambivalent stick figure that I had to try cheering it up a little.
The trial of the teenagers accused of killing Brianna Ghey starts today and there are details all over Twitter. It’s horrific. I read some and I desperately wish I hadn’t. I want to know but I don’t want to know.
My only hope is that once the details do become publicly known, they will horrify enough people to actually spur them into action.
The thing I would be most heartbroken to lose if tumblr were the close are gifsets. Nothing recommends a show to me better than a gifset. Nothing lets me appreciate a show like a gifset. The minute facial expressions, the colouring, the set design, the dialogue, the gif maker’s own twists and artistic additions, I love it all so much and you just can’t get it anywhere else.
doctor who coming back in the year of 2023 when terfism and biological essentialism and transphobia are on the rise and making one of THE most hyped up episodes by bringing back fan favorites david tennant and catherine tate. all about being trans
showing rose being bullied and her grandma struggling to get it right but still being supportive. and shaun and donna being the greatest parents by being ready to burn the world down to protect their daughter. the doctor asking for the meep’s pronouns AND IT’S NORMAL???
and all of that is brilliant to see rose as a trans character and it is important to the narrative. BUT THEN. ROSE BEING TRANS SAVES DONNA’S LIFE BY TAKING HALF OF THE METACRISIS. BECAUSE THE DOCTOR IS MALE AND FEMALE AND NEITHER AND MORE. AND THAT IS INTEGRAL TO DOCTOR WHO AS A WHOLE. and it saved donna’s life
to see doctor who be so BLATANTLY trans and nonbinary at the core of the series. the multiple references to the fact that before fourteen, thirteen was a woman. so to see this? trans people stay winning. thank you doctor who for doubling down on the importance of the doctor being trans because oh my god I am so emotional about this
