In dark purples, Victor Frankenstein and the Creature reach for one another. Victor is framed in the bottom right of the canvas while the Creature is upside down in the top left. Victor's expression is manic while the Creature is calm. Their fingers don't quite touch in the center, reminiscent of The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo. Artery-like tree branches reach around them, dotted with sparse maple leaves. The background is a highly saturated red-pink.
