When I first heard about this story, and the frankly horrifying remarks from the prosecution, I assumed it had happened several decades ago and the murders only recently brought to justice due to advances in forensic technology.
Nope. It happened last year. I literally had to go back and check as I scrolled down. Seven months ago.
