Even better!
Ty is the son of David Tennant and Georgia Moffett. Moffett played the Doctor’s daughter in the episode of the same name, but she actually is the real-life daughter of Peter Davison, the actor who played the Fifth Doctor (which is probably why she got cast).
Moffett and Tennant fell on love on the set of that episode, got married, and then Tennant legally adopted Ty (her son from a previous relationship). So Ty’s father AND grandfather were Doctors, plus his mother is the Doctor’s Daughter!
….I LOVE that things turned out that way! It’s quite remarkable!
