I’ve been watching a lot of British history documentaries on Netflix lately and I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that currently 80% of Brits have a positive opinion of the Royal family.
Like i know that they’re role in government is more or less symbolic and they generate revenue, but they still cost the taxpayers money and they don’t???? Do anything????
Ignore my American opinion but WHY do y’all love them so much??????
Well, not everyone does, I have friends who are staunch anti-monarchists. But I think what it really comes down to is:
They’re basically a wildly entertaining, extremely long-running, fabulously dramatic reality TV show.
