God, reading the comments on the below is… interesting to say the least, when the author’s main two concerns about The Shape of Water are “its Black character was underused” and “it overuses the male gaze”. (And “I don’t like human/monster romance stories” but that’s surely not a preference worth calling anyone “a female incel” over.)
