It’s funny how it sort of feels like perception of the Star Wars prequels is changing? Not a huge amount, but… more than it was? Like, I saw a sketch show not too long ago where one of the punchlines was “actually quite a lot of people liked them!” and celebrities keep popping up and saying “oh gosh I really liked those movies!” and…. well, tumblr, tumblr seems remarkably pro-Prequel. (except for the Han Solo one)
S’why it’s so weird to me whenever big mainstream news outlets pop up and are all like “These Movies Are The Most Terrible Things In The World, Equal To If Not Worse Than Actual Real Bad Things Which Happened To Real People, Universally Loathed” because I keep looking around here and just thinking… are you sure? Because it seems like there’s a completely different story going on here.
(And yeah, I’m positive the gender and age disparity between lovers/haters comes into play here, but I’m really bad at trying to explain that.)
