I’ve been reading your It Begins in a Garden, and thinking about something called Graham’s number, the upper bound for the solution of a famous problem in graph theory. It’s finite, but literally unimaginably large (as in, if you somehow tried to shove the amount of information in the number into a space the size of a human brain, the result would be a black hole). But we know it ends in a 7. Anyway, when you write about angels, that’s what I think about.

I try not to publish praise, but this is…….it’s sustained me for days.

Thank you so much!

Graham’s number

  • Upper bound for the solution of a famous problem in graph theory

  • If you tried to shove the amount of information in the number into a space the size of a human brain, the result would be a black hole

  • we know it ends in a 7.

Suddenly I feel like I’ve been drastically misinformed about mathematics.
