i mean that entire episode was beautiful
but i love how we saw how much the doctor’s changed
how much his past experiences changed him
ten wiped donna’s memories despite her arguing, full with righteous agony
then he tried again with clara, and it fired right back at him
then came the third time, because he is an idiot
and all of his past came shouting right back at him
bill mirroring clara’s words, reminding him what happened
susan’s and river’s faces, their voices shouting at him in his mind
and the tardis whispering from the corner of his office
in the past, bill could easily have been a one-time thing
but times change
the doctor makes the right choice sometimes
and bill gets to see the universe
