The spoiler-free reviews of “The Pilot” indicate that this will be a really nice episode that has the potential to be loved by Moffat fans (no explanation necessary), RTD fans (with a significant focus on Bill’s everyday life, including her family, job, who she has a crush on… lots and lots of character work featuring a young, lesbian black woman who stays with her foster mum and serves chips for a living) and everyone who happens to turn on their tv at 7:20 p.m. on April 15 (after so long without a series, a reintroduction is only right).
Less recommendable for racists, homophobes, people who expect great special effects from Doctor Who, and those poor souls who somehow thought they weren’t turning in for The Bill Potts Show.
