this is fun. i like the idea of finn not knowing so many expressive gestures like this, because of growing up as a soldier in a mask. so he’s easily confused by nonverbal communication
YES! He’s probably not that great at body language at all. And I bet that he’s actually really, really terrible at controlling his facial expressions. He might be a little better at reading them since he would have had dealings with Hux and other commanding officers, but still.
Finn making faces of absolute DISGUST in sensitive situations because he’s always been able to do it in secret in the past and getting everyone in trouble somehow, and everyone is just like Finn!!! We can SEE YOU.
I was actually just thinking about him not being able to hide his reaction when receiving gifts but then I thought about how he’s probably never gotten a gift in his life (other than Poe’s jacket) and I got sad.
