Four years ago, a fall down a defective sstaircase left me completely confined to bed for life, requiring 24 hour care I cannot afford [Medical reports]. Without compensation for healthcare, my existing deterioration would accelerate and at the age of 22, I am terrified of having a fraction of a normal life expectancy
The rest of my life will be decided at a court hearing to determine if I can sue for compensation despite the length of time since the accident. [Court docs]. Success at this hearing absolutely requires a barrister. This increases my legal costs to almost $10,000 that must be raised during February, incl. another $1,726 by tomorrow/Feb 19.
