the viner is the Ravenmaster of the Tower of London, and Merlin(a) considers him her “partner” or mate. She is an imprinted raven, and was raised by hand. She is the only lone raven at the Tower, but her role is very important. She is the seventh or “spare” raven. There must always be a minimum of six ravens at the Tower.
