my least favorite artstyle is extremely specific; it’s the “self deprecating teenager who types in all lowercase, passively-agressively says ‘lmao’ in every disagreement, creates shitty headcanons for the sake of feeling like they’re more diverse than other people” artstyle. crooked eyes and mouth, misshapen noses, eyes in any direction except forward
i made a visual example for those who don’t know what i’m talking about
oh fuck how could’ve i forgotten the most common aspect
I’m not sure what the point of this post is, because this is not a genuine critique, this is what we refer to as pure mockery. Let me ask you this, what are you losing by making this post a bit more positive instead of discouraging artists? Nothing. Sure, you may not like it, all power to ya, but going so far as to objectively mock them and categorise this stigmatically is frankly, and I say this with confidence, nauseating and atrocious. These are teenagers; artists in making, does it take that much energy to be considerate and constructive? I’m ashamed by how many people in the tags and comments feel disheartened by this post.

Yeah, okay – but who cares, really? This isn’t even a constructive opinion, it’s your distaste for a particular style. As an artist, I can’t help but be very envious of these teenagers, why? because it has potential, imagine how much they can accomplish in a few years with the style they have, what I don’t understand is your atrocious approach of making a post with no other purpose than to demoralize and trash on young people because they love to do something a bit different than your average anime style. I’m not sure what these extremely specific artists are, but they must be very rare, and I can’t help but feel like you’re attacking a much bigger demographic than what you’re referring to.
