thlayli-rah:

My dad, alike myself, is a writer. My dad is also a better writer than I am. Well, one would hope he would be, considering the fact that he’s got thirty-five years of broadcast journalism experience under his belt. My dad, however, lost his job about nine months ago. He worked for a news corporation local to my hometown, which declared bankruptcy, and terminated 167 people.

And then? To make it worse, they reopened. Continued to broadcast under the same company name after declaring bankruptcy, which– for those of you who don’t know –is horrendously illegal. And yet they did it. And still continue to.

One of the most terrible things you can do to someone is take away the opportunity for them to do the thing they’re good at. My dad is a phenomenal writer, currently running a freelance writing company.

All I ask of you is to take a look at the website; maybe read a few articles, learn more about the business, and reblog to spread the word. Allow my dad the chance to once more do what is undoubtedly his vocation.

It’d mean a lot.
