I would choose both! I love post-apocalyptic stuff. But it’s got to have a glimmer, at least, of hope in it. Otherwise what’s the point? Stephen King’s The Stand is great, for example (I’m looking so forward to the movie when it finally comes) but it’s not much for the optimism, not by the end, not really…
