Since ‘fundraise for a mental health charity’ seems to be everyone’s preferred way of Doing Something Nice For Jake Lloyd, my suggestion is fundraising for NAMI. (National Alliance on Mental Illness.) We could do this via Generosity.com, which is fairly new but seems pretty good? I would hope that eventually enough people would see the campaign to ensure that it really takes off and raises a ton of money, but I think just a handful of people would make a difference too, really.

Let me know if you see any red flags with any of that; if not, I’ll start putting the wheels in motion.
