How about people read this instead of acting like your personal view of the movie is somehow correct and anyone who says that something is different is all-together wrong because I’m getting really tired of people brushing off the date rape joke that flat out happens (and that’s in the trailer FOR the movie.) None of this is being made up, PLEASE stop fucking acting like it is.
There is an instance where deadpool refers to a male character as being “dickless.” Referring to a character as being “dickless” is definitely coded transphobic content, but I wouldn’t quote me on that since I’m not trans; However, I have 100% seen trans individuals state previously that statements like that are transphobic so I’m going to believe them on that because that’s what they find triggering, even if I don’t, because it doesn’t affect me.
What SOMEONE views as simple jokes about sex and masturbation, to an abuse survivor, might HEAVILY be triggering and viewed as some level of joke about assault/and or rape depending on the context or their personal level of ability to handle casual references to sex, so anyone here saying there’s absolutely nothing triggering in terms of rape jokes while simultaneously stating that “there’s a lot of jokes about sex and masturbation” is full of fucking bullshit honestly and really doesn’t grasp what the fuck abuse victims might find triggering and need to literally be quiet.
This person literally saw the movie and stated that in their view as a sexual abuse survivor that there’s triggering fucking content in regards to sexual abuse shit. You do NOT get to tell them they’re wrong or it’s false when they watched the same god damn movie as you and found triggering content in it. Just because YOU didn’t find it to be an issue for your PERSONAL ability to handle something, doesn’t mean SOMEONE ELSE won’t.

The content of this movie? I probably won’t be able to watch it, from everything I’m hearing about it, because of the shit I experienced in terms of abuse/rape, because casual jokes about sex and masturbation are triggering FOR ME and a lot of other abuse survivors.
