One of my favorite scenes in The Force Awakens:
Han: Is there a garbage chute? Trash compactor?
Finn: Yeah, there is!And not just because it’s a brilliant throwback to the original trilogy. I actually find the other two layers to this joke even better payoff than the throwback. In-universe Finn answers so gleefully not as a punchline, but as characterization. He’s intimately familiar with this answer and he’s about to exact revenge on Phasma, this high level controlling force in his life, by subjecting her to the very thing he’s had to live with, the thing Han and we as the audience found out about not too long before this scene: his job in sanitation.
