We ALL wish it were that easy

MAN THIS CRACKER GET AN ‘A’ FOR TWO DAMN SENTENCES I BET ALL THE POCS ETC HAD TO WRITE A FULL DAMN ESSAY WHITE PEOPLE GET IT EASY EVEN WHEN THEY ADMIT TO GETTING EASY MAN FUCK THAT SHIT

This reminds me of when I took a diversity course and we were assigned to go somewhere where we feel othered (as if the whole world wasn’t enough). My friend (a disabled, wheelchair using, Asian guy) and I (fat, black, African girl) decided to go to a Tea Party rally. This right-wing, cis, hetero, white guy decided to come with us. He was nodding along to everything and even gave their racist asses a standing ovation. I gave a thorough presentation to earn my grade and he added, “yeah, I guess some of the stuff could be offensive” and he got the same grade.

if I ever have to write an essay like this imma turn in this post and tell the professor I’m exempt because I had to deal with racism, classism, colorism and sexism for 20 years

i keep seeing (white) folks reblogging this post, the version with no real commentary, mostly congratulating him and…its like absolute performance art and says a lot that White people (and others) actually think this is an accomplishment, or that he’s woke for this shit lmao this is not even the bare minimum of basic human decency

What I find interesting is that he claims to have never experienced social inequality, but of course that is not true. He has always experienced social inequality that was unequal IN HIS FAVOR.

Rather than write a paper breaking down the privilege of his experience and the favorable inequality he enjoyed, he interpreted ‘inequality’ to mean prejudice or oppression.

If he hasn’t experienced inequality, then he has only experienced equality… which… no.

So he got a cookie for recognizing that others are mistreated, while still erasing the actual benefits of inequality which he experiences. And while doing the absolute minimal level of work.

^^^^^^^^^^^

He’s also neatly erased ableism. “Nor will I ever experience…” unless you get sick.
