#I mean…#rose was the main character of her series#martha was the main character of her series#clara was so much the main character of her series people complain to this day that the show ‘became Clara Who’ and so on#the companions have ALWAYS been the main characters#they’re the audience surrogates#they’re the ones whose names we know#they’re the ones who we see having families and jobs and hobbies#and they’re mostly women#I just don’t get how this quote could be seen as not a positive thing#It just reminds me of when people complained that Furiosa was the main character of Mad Max Fury Road#Or that Rey was the main character of The Force Awakens#because those are MANLY franchises about MEN!!!
