This is…sort of what I feel, too. (Apart from the bit about Rey being a Mary Sue. What? No. Come on.) I’m so glad that The Force Awakens was good, but I’d have been okay with it not happening in the first place. Stories have to end, you know?
Which is not to take away how important TFA is in terms of representation and how good it was as a standalone movie, it’s just…..it’s sad when the fairytale’s over.
