Without giving anything away about TFA, I’m kinda digging how almost all of Star Wars presents regular human evil as just being…kind of pathetic. Anakin’s a whiny brat who’s so selfish he’ll murder a room full of children to save his wife from dying (alright, there’s more to it to than that, but still…), Dooku’s an old man with grand ideas deluded enough to think Qui-Gon would have supported his cause and ignorant of the fact he’s just a pawn in a bigger game, and Kylo Ren’s…well, a tantrum-throwing child. Most evil in Star Wars land isn’t cool, it’s just selfishness gone wild and getting people killed. I always liked that.
