Guys, it’s getting down to the wire. The bank takes full possession of the house on the 10th of October. Our landlord had to audacity to ask for rent when she STILL hasn’t told us about the foreclosure! We were served by the sheriff in late September. Either way, we’re facing sudden eviction. To move, we need at least a grand. We’ve collected about 500$ so far, but it’s not going to be enough to cover first months rent and deposit no matter where we move.
My sister has COPD and works full time, my partner works 40 hrs a week+, my elderly mom and I are disabled, and we have 2 children with us (6 and 11 years old). I’m my mom and the kids caretaker, and to split us up would be detrimental to my mom’s health.

This is my mom to the left of me. She’s a 64 year old woman of color and worked as a maid from the time she was 12 until she was in her 50′s. She’s a widow. She has several debilitating illnesses that are life threatening. She’s a cancer survivor, as well as a survivor of domestic abuse. She’s never had a stable home in her life. She has worked very hard to keep her family together.
