no i could totally see them getting along. they have a lot in common how they were treated as less than by others. i imagine m/m and d/shaun being couples friends becos canon (but w donna having got her memories back) but this could work too.
That’s a really sweet idea and I like it! I always thought Shaun was rather underrated in the canon
