remember the post that was like ‘youre going to regret who you were when you were 14’ and someone replied woth ‘what? regret being a superwholockian tumblrer >:3. i dont think so’
do you think they regret it yet
I hope they don’t. I don’t know the person who left that comment on that post, but I don’t see how a large community goading someone based on their age/interests and then widely mocking their ‘no, I like who I am!’ response is anything other than bullying? Like, I was a fourteen-year-old in fandom, and I don’t even want to think about what might have happened if that someone had decided it was funny to publicly shame me for being a child and liking myself and some popular TV shows?
Um, yeah, it’s really gross, made even grosser by the fact that grown adults participate in it. Please stop.
i made this post literally laughing at a mindset I had three years ago calm the fuck down.
Ok, I’m not going to get overly involved in this since your bio says you’re sixteen and I’m nearly thirty, but I see nothing wrong with a mindset saying – what’s the original quote from that post – ““Being a tumblrian and superwholockian and generally pretty good? I don’t think so”
-because that was the mindset I had at fourteen, and I still have it, and I loathe the part of internet culture that quashes all enthusiasm and confidence in children. It sucked thirteen years ago and it sucks now.
