It amuses me that Doctor Who is apparently seen as this adult, edgy, people-only-watch-it-to-act-superior-lol TV show in America, when in Britain it’s a) considered very much family viewing and b) everywhere: back in 2006 a child could watch Doctor Who on Saturday, Totally Doctor Who on Thursday and Doctor Who segments on CBBC throughout the rest of the week, play with Doctor Who toys under their Doctor Who bedspread whilst sitting on Doctor Who cushions, observe headlines about Doctor Who in the mainstream newspapers and then go to school with a Doctor Who backpack, pencilcase and pencils whilst discussing Doctor Who with their equally tiny friends.

It’s also annoying because it reminds me how American-centric this site is. But mostly amusing. Sort of.
