tumblr callout culture is disgusting and must be stopped
people are literally reaching for any form of ‘receipt’ they can find, including going years back into peoples history, so they can call them out as problematic
its a form of bullying. its literally that people cant be mean on this website w/out being called dicks so they try to paint their targets as problematic as possible so that they can acceptably bully and bandwagon against that person
its like… its good and useful and necessary if its against rapists and abusers and such but when ur all ganging up on underage kids, usually mentally ill kids, who have made minor mistakes that you could reasonably just talk to them about, theres no need to make a public post shaming them and encouraging others to do the same
people are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them without being witch-hunted out of their communities and safe spaces
