“She was a nonentity.”

-Gerry Conway, Spider-Man writer, on why the decision was made to kill Gwen Stacy off

I would add “has a keen sense of justice”! She’s the first one to speak up whenever she feels someone’s being mistreated and took part in student activism (although I dread to reread those issues because I doubt they’ve aged well).

Oooh yes! She always seemed a bit more engaged in the world around her, protests and politics than Peter did. And even right back at her first ever appearence, she’s uncomfortable about Harry and Flash picking on Peter.

…Damn, I should have included that! Especially since a part of me likes to think that Gwen would’ve become something like a lawyer, maybe, or even a politician herself if she’d lived.

Someone else has that headcanon! I always thought politics or law would’ve been a good place to take Gwen if she’d lived. Not that I object to more female scientists in the MU, but in 616 her sense of righteousness informed her personality and behavior more than her interest in science, which was told more than shown.

Yes I do have a “what if Spider-Man died on the bridge and Gwen became an attorney who specialized in superpowered clients” AU

That AU would make the most DAMN KICKASS WHAT IF COMIC EVER.
