P.S. (the Angels Take Manhattan epilogue)
Amy and Rory got to raise a child after all. *sobs*
God knows if this is canon or not, and I’m still sad that now we’ve got a Pond kid who wasn’t River when River would have filled that role (and several plot holes) but it was nice. Mostly I’m just glad that Brian was okay.
If it is Real Actual Canon, it does open up a whole lot of ideas-
-Was Anthony the only child the Ponds adopted? Perhaps he’s just the eldest?
-If Anthony is 60 in 2012, is that confirmation that the Ponds travelled back to the 1950s? Is that why River isn’t mentioned- because she wasn’t in New York till the 1960s, and thus in their personal timeline they haven’t met a baby Melody on the streets yet? (No, I’m never gonna let that go.)
-River has a brother, you guys!

Rory says they got sent back to 50 years before he was born. That would be consistent with 1938. My headcanon is that they still find little Melody in 1969 or whatever, because they’d be in their 60s or thereabouts then, and they either keep her for just a little while or they help her on her way to find them in Leadworth, and so Anthony does know her then. And maybe River finds ways to visit them in the past, too, and meets him when he’s a kid as well? I was sad that they didn’t mention River, but then I thought maybe the whole grandson who’s older than you would already be a bit tricky, and River would be too young by appearance to have been their adopted child (she looks maybe forty), so perhaps they figured they’d start with Anthony, and once Brian got used to that, Anthony could introduce him to his sister, and do it by parts. :) I’m just so glad they got to have a kid they could keep properly, and that Brian will have someone to keep him company. I was so worried about all of them, especially poor Rory who’d wanted so badly to have a baby they could hold on to.

1938? Hmmm…they’ve gotta lot of history to live through! (And Rory’s sort of lived through it once!) Oh there’s so much potential for fanfiction with River and Anthony, I’m excited! :D

I know! I keep picturing Amy as a really awesome Rosie the Riveter-esque factory girl kicking butt during WWII and then I get really excited. And Rory was probably some kind of really great war medic or something. And then they probably had an adorable little family with a completely upside-down dynamic for the times, and they just sort of laughed when their neighbors looked at them funny. :P So much fanfiction potential indeed. It is very exciting! The fanfiction about Amy becoming a writer is already quite lovely. Like that obituary you made, and the things lizbee and lyricwrites wrote. :D

Rory as a war medic is perfect. :D Aww thanks! Also, I was wondering- can I do a couple of P.S. prompts for the ficathon? :D

I haven’t closed up the ficathon or anything, but it has been pretty quiet lately. So you can definitely leave the prompts, but I don’t know if anyone is still playing.

They say they adopted in 1946.

Maybe he was a child orphaned by the war…
