I’m not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens
The facts are these:
Two days ago there was a downright biblical storm in my part of Britain- hailstones the size of golfballs, torrential rain, reports of tornados, etc. There was apparently lots of flood damage in and around my village, so today me and Dave went to take a look-
We went down to the little river that runs through the village – a popular spot with dog walkers and the like. There seemed to be work of some kind going on there- there were a lot of vans and tractors and things around the electrical pylon at the end of the field. Some complicated-looking electrical equipment just lying on the ground (for the pylon?), too, although no people anywhere. This whole area was cordoned off with string and the odd sign-
Me and Dave went a little bit beyond the string (only a very little bit) and looked at the river. It looked like it had overflowed and then drained again. There was a dead fish lying on the marshy grassy area where the water had been-
-and then, draped over a small log right near the water, there was this.

We couldn’t, and still can’t, work out what it is. It was about the size of a small dog. It had massive teeth and we could see at least two legs- the rest of it was on the other side of the log and we weren’t willing to go further down the riverbank to see. (Mostly because the smell was awful.) It was covered in flies, and it looked like it’d just crawled out from the water and died…

Is it a dog (I don’t think so, but then again I know zero about animals)? Some sort of exotic animal someone bought and then dumped, maybe? Anyone got any ideas? If not, I hope you enjoyed the mildly creepy story anyway.

One of them vulture-people from the Sarah Jane Adventures.

I think a fox? Or indeed a small dog… Maybe it got washed down (either already dead or still alive) from somewhere during the flood and deposited.

But it is awesomely creepy

Not a dog, the teeth are too big (both in length and girth) for the size. Maybe a weasel of some kind, or a fox?

I agree with other people, maybe a dog or a fox (from the teeth). If maybe two of the legs had been pulled off by currents, or sort of rotted off. And the rest just plain rotted. Although I also know zero about the effects of water on dead animals. But that would be my best guess. Either way, it’s creepy indeed.
