I think he thinks of himself as being the smartest and therefore in charge. If people keep information from him, he can’t protect them, but he thinks he knows when to conceal information from them for their benefit. Which is not always true, although I think even he wasn’t entirely certain how the Flesh worked until he went to the factory.

Good point. I do think he keeps info from them a bit too much, though. I would have punched him for not telling me he wasn’t dead!
